Hi,

first look for the right cloneid of the saveset on your tape, like mminfo
-Va -c <client> -q 'volume,name' -r 'ssid,cloneid'. Then recover by using
ssid and cloneid, recover -S <ssid/cloneid>.

Betreff: [Networker] Good way to recover from a different media?

I'm trying to recover a directory from an offsite clone tape. The
ONSITE volume still exists but the machine serving up the file device is
temporarily dead with a bad mother board. I've got the SSID of the set
I need and the tape is mounted. How the heck do you recover from the
tape instead of the offsite? I'm reading through the uxag.pdf but not
much help there.

Any good links/HOWTO's on this one?

Robert
