Greets.

I'm admittedly a newbie with a clue when it comes to running a backup
server so I would like to solicit some advice on end of life tape
rotation.

The tapes in my IBM 3600R20 have reached end of life where I don't
want to continue to trust them with data. We do weekly full backups so
my plan was to go in this Friday before the full backup starts and
swap out the existing tapes for new ones.

I want to be sure of two things when I do this?

1) I can put the tapes back into the jukebox and recover data if needed.

2) Networker will not ask for the tapes after I remove them.

Suggestions?
