I must agree with Davina that you've been "hoodwinked"..
This brings up the discussion; if one turns on compression on the networker
client with the compression directives. In theory this would send less data
over the wire for backups. When putting it to tape one wouldn't want to
compress it again.
I wonder if anyone ever did something this and found it better then tape
drive hardware compression??
