Using IBM LTO and Networker 6.1.2 on one system I got the first tape with
630 GB on it - but this was a database and when more data was put in the
amount per tape dropped off - the first tape was done over 100MB ethernet
and so could not keep the drive streaming. Currently on a bigger system we
get an average of 200 MB per tape (whereas on DLT7000 this data gave a
compression of 1.6 on average). Certainly keeps me happy.
