Sounds like it may be logging to a different file. Maybe the one you see is
just the 'start-up log' and there may be another for an 'operations log'.

Just a thought...

Subject: [Networker] Alphastor rrobotd not logging using Alphastor v2.1_04P2

Hi,
I'm playing with Alphastor v2.1Patchkit 2 and NetWorker6.1.3. I have LCP on
a Solaris box using a Silo STK9370.My rrobotd is running on a HP Tru64 and
in terms of load/unload/backup no problem. Now, I try to test export and
import jobs; in alphastor v2.0 I was used to check on my LCP's rrobotd.log
the alphastor running and logging nsrjb -a or nsrjb -x activities on my
rrobotd machine. With version v2.1.2_04P2 I see only a couple of lines in my
rrobotd.log, logging the rrobotd startup,like

Thu Jan 16 12:14:57: [1] [-1071955968] rrobotd started successfully version
2.1. 2_P2 Thu Jan 16 12:14:57: [1] [-1071955968] Rrobotd's port number is
3000

After that, no other messages appear, while in the past I saw things like

Thu Jan 16 14:45:14: b3mexico Start command <mmlocate -u -n 002873
BILL3_SILO> Thu Jan 16 14:45:16: b3mexico Command <mmlocate -u -n 002873
BILL3_SILO> had return code 0 Thu Jan 16 14:45:16: b3mexico rrobotd end
connection for service <rrobotd> Thu Jan 16 14:45:16: b3mexico rrobotd begin
connection for service <rrobotd> version 2.0.2_8 Thu Jan 16 14:45:16:
b3mexico Execute command nsrjb -j BILL3_SILO -a 002873 Thu Jan 16 14:45:16:
b3mexico rrobotd execute command nsrjb -j BILL3_SILO -a 002873 Thu Jan 16
14:45:16: b3mexico Execute UNIX program <nsrjb -j BILL3_SILO -a 002873> Thu
Jan 16 14:45:16: b3mexico Start command <nsrjb -j BILL3_SILO -a 002873> Thu
Jan 16 14:45:19: b3mexico Command <nsrjb -j BILL3_SILO -a 002873> had return
code 0 Thu Jan 16 14:45:19: b3mexico rrobotd end connection for service
<rrobotd>

Anyway, the operations are correctly performed ( I've tested export only, up
to now ) but I cannot figure out why the new version's log is so "slim".
Since I see rrobotd start line I suppose this is the right place where to
find the infos, /opt/AS/logs/rrobotd.log on robotd machine )

Any suggestion to understand this behaviour ???

Thanks in advance
                                Pierpa
