Ad-hoc (user initiated or manual) backups are produced when there is no
"-l level" option on the "save".
Normal backups are produced where there is a "-l level" option on the
"save".
Naturally, "savegrp" always uses "save -l".
Beware of doing too many ad-hoc backups in the one directory to
NetWorker servers prior to 6. There is a crippling design flaw in the
old index system that is triggered if you do. I don't know if this was
fixed with the new index system (I've no desire to relive that much
pain), but I would imagine it has. The work around is to do all manual
saves with "save -l full". SAP BSM users take particular note.
