Subject: [Networker] tape rotations

Hi all,

We're looking to revise our tape rotation schedule and we're looking for
input:

o How often do you take tapes off site?

Tapes sent offsite daily (Mon to Fri)

o How are your client definitions and tape pools set up to support this
schedule?

Clone jobs run daily (Monday clone last 3 days, rest of week clone last
24hours)

o How do you know what tapes need to go off site / come back from off site?

Offsite tapes are all used clone tapes.
Returned from offsite at pre determined time (i.e. offsite for 14 or 28
days)

o Who manages your tape schedule (sys admin, operator, etc.)?

Sysadmin/operator/chief cook and bottle washer, it's all the same
person...

Thanks.
Teresa
