No. In other words, if you restart a group, what will happen is that any
previously uncompleted savesets will now be restarted from scratch. So,
let's say you had a group that was backing up a total of 8 file systems,
and 5 completed prior and 3 were 99% completed. Now, when you restart
the group, the 5 that did complete will not be restarted -- that's good
-- but the kicker is that the 3 that were 99% done will start over again
completely from scratch, and now you understand yet another major
frustration with this product!

Of course, I would think that you could still recover data from the 99%
completed saveset instances. After all, it's 99% likely that they would
contain what you wanted, but since the index may not have been updated,
it would be hard to know what didn't make it. You could just run a
saveset recover, but how would you know that you got everything? It
would be nice if NetWorker could at least tell you what you were
missing.

This is a dumb question, but does anyone know if the index on the server
is being updated while the backup is occuring? If so, then couldn't you
still use saveset recover to browse most of the completed data. In this
case, 99% of it? If so, then am I correct in assuming that the only
things you would not have would be:

1. The last 1% of the data would not be on the tape(s).
2. The updated index, containing 99% of the data, would have been
updated on disk BUT would not have been written yet to tape,.
3. You could not browse the last 1% of the backed up data.
