I have some "file" devices that fill up occasionally. I've got scripts
that will clean them up as needed, by date, etc. The problem is legato
has marked them Read only because they filled up. Is there a way from
a command line, non-interactive, to tell legato a device shouldn't be
Read only? Is there an interactive CLI method anyone knows of?

You can use either the nsrmm or nsrjb commands for this. e.g.

nsrmm -o notreadonly -y VOLUME

You will of course have to unmount the volume first as Calvin correctly
pointed out.
