I was getting the same error as you, but only when it tried to backup the
bootstrap:
"error, no matching devices; check storage
nodes,devices or pools"

But our issues were due to the Networker server being in a cluster, where
the tape devices were on a shared bus and under the Networker alias. what
we had to do was configure a local device on each node in the cluster,
which we did by creating a filedevice on each of them, then when we ran a
savegroup -O, it would work successfully using the tape drives.

wierd I know, kind of buggy, it doesnt even use the locally configured
devices (they are unmounted, unlaballed and also in service mode'disabled').

This was advise given to us, and we dont know why it needs them, but
without the local devices always fails......
