Dear All,

We are trying to restore SQL databases into our Server. When we use
Restore->Normal option, it starts the restoration process but comes back with
the error -

[1660] Start time Sat Jan 04 14:30:40 2003
[1660] Computer Name: SQL2 User Name: Administrator
[1660] System Version: 5.0 Build 2195 Service Pack 3
[1660] Microsoft Data Access Component(MDAC) version: 2.62.7926.1
[1660] Microsoft SQL Server version (from registry) : 8.00.194
[1660] Local host has following SQL Server online:
[1660] MSSQL server : SQL2
[1660] Use Legato Networker Server : tapeserver
[1660] Legato Networker Server Version: NetWorker 6.1.1.Build.238 Power/110
[1660] nsrexecd.exe Version: 6.1.1.Build.238
[1660] nsrsqlrc.exe Version: 3.1.0.43 Supporting SQL 7.0 and SQL 2000
[1660] Command line:
[1660] nsrsqlrc -s "tapeserver" -c "sql2" -I -
[1660] SQL Connection to SQL2 is created. SQL Server Version is 08.00.0534
[1660] Log back onto SQL Server

[1660] Microsoft SQL Server Provider error:

database on device Legato#19942f55-9704-41fe-9e1d-b6b68ba0f69f cannot be
restored because it was created by a different version of the server
(134218407) than this server (134218262)..
[1660] [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]RESTORE DATABASE is
terminating abnormally..
[1660] G:\rt_2002_1Q\nsr\db_apps\bsmsql\nsrsqlado.cpp(1641): ExecuteFailed
event arrived.
[1660] Waiting for MSSQLServer service shutdown to complete
[1660] Completion time Sat Jan 04 14:32:29 2003

On the same Server, if we use the Restore->Copy command, it is able to restore
the databases without the logins properties. Even the Restore->Verify Only
option works fine & says that the Backup Set is Valid.

Why do we get the above error.

We are using -

OS - Windows 2000 Server SP-3
SQL - SQL 2000 Server SP-2
Legato Networker Server 6.1.1
Legato SQL module Version 3.1.0
