Thanks for the info. the threads were very useful but not fully yet.
I was trying to use mtimeasm directive to avoid reading the files where ctime
is changed by virus scan or other programs but it doesn't work in 5.5.1. Any
idea?
Thanks again
Srini

Hi Srini

You should look through the archive of this newsgroup; this issue has come
up before. If your full backup is indeed completing successfully (and, so,
updating the NetWorker database completely), then I'd see if a virus
checking program, or some other program, is modifying every file for you.

Good luck!

Subject: [Networker] Incremental backup does a full backup in networker
5.5.1

Hello,
We are running networker 5.5.1 build 115 on solaris 5.7.
We have full backups on the first of the month and incremental everyday and
consolidate every 7th day (7th,14th,21st,28th). Full backup is 47 GB and it
happens fine, but with very few files changed everyday (less than 1-2 MB),
the networker still does a 47GB backups during incremental cycles, even
though the backup level still says incremental. This happens only on one
file system. Other file systems in the same client seem to be doing fine.
Any idea what is going wrong?
Also the consolidate is not happening on the 7th day.
Thanks in advance for taking time to read/answer this.
Thanks
Srini
