Hi All,

can anybody help with this:

When doing incremental backups from one certain client machine,
the save.exe-process hangs after some minutes of activity and never comes
back.

Our environment is Networker 6.1.1, server ist Solaris 8, client is a
Win2k-MSCS-Cluster with Open File Manager 8.0 running.

Full- and Level5-backups are (up to now) working well.

We have started the backup by savegrp; in this case the inactivity timeout
(which is set to a value higher than a full backup takes to complete)
cancels the operation and the save process on the client hangs.

We have done manual backups on the client machine; these are the last lines
of the output of a 'save -D5 -vvv...':

This is the end of the output; save.exe seems to die while writing the word
'offset'.

An estimate 'savegrp -nI -l incr ...' is doing fine.

So do we have a problem with Networker or does the client have a problem
with its file system? And how can I get rid of those hanging
save.exe-processes without booting the client machine? We just can't kill
them.

Any help appreciated.
