Howard,
Have you tried using nsrwatch from a console? I found the update speed on
this to be much faster than the GUI (NT/Unix), you can see the drive speeds
quite clearly.

As I've said before on unix (Solaris) the GUI underestimates the drive
speed by about 25% (16MB/s for an LTO doing 22MB/s - as reported by iostat
this is because networker polls the drives at a low rate - presumably this
effect gets worse as the drive speeds increase. With the higher speed
drives I would use the OS's speed reporting in preference to Networkers.
