I would like to skip everything under the following path:

/home/smith/mydata/data

What is the recommended method? I created a custom directive that
includes a section like this:

<< /home/smith/mydata >>
        null: data

I guess I could have also used 'skip', but I don't think I have to use
'+' do I? I was under the understanding that '+' tells NetWorker to skip
recursively, so this might be useful if you wanted to ALWAYS skip the
same directory name under say /home, but here I just want everything
from data down. Also, what's the difference between skip and null? Do
they do the same thing? I thought I heard about some convention you can
use that will still include the directory name in the index. I know
'skip' removes it. does anyone know what this term is?

Thanks.
