Robert,

The numeric levels correspond to UNIX "dump" levels. A level "n" backup
includes files that have changed since the last backup of a lower level. A
full is the equivalent of a level zero backup. An incremental doesn't have
a dump level equivalent.

So, if you did a full on Sunday, and set level 1 for the other days, each
day's backup would include the files that had changed since the Sunday full.
This is commonly referred to as a "differential" backup scheme.

There are examples in the NetWorker Administrator's Guide.

Wes

Digging through mminfo while cleaning up the system of cruft I found
some old backups sitting around. I saw we have "full", "incr" and
"1"... I'm thinking the previous admin was tyring differnt levels for a
while and changed his plan but never cleaned up the cruft. What would a
level 1 be equivalent of, is it an incremental or what?
