Hi Phillip,

This example is from a Solaris prompt. The server is running on Solaris 8 w/
6.1.1.

Note that the script is _three_ lines.

#!/bin/sh
echo "show name; client OS type; backup command; CPUs; NetWorker version
print type: nsr client" | nsradmin -s devnull -i -

We've got a pretty good mix of clients. Legacy clients (SunOS 4.x, NDMP) don't
report the OS type. Also, clients that use modules (for example the Lotus
Notes Module where the backup command is 'nsrnote.bat') dont' report the OS
type, either.

Regards,
        /\/elson
