In the save filef of the virtual clients, you should put
save -c 'name of virtual client'
This way these saved will have their own index.
Then to recover from these virtual clients just
Recover -s <backup server> -c <name of virtual client>
And indeed add the real names to the remote access list.

Cheers
Koen

Yes, I know that, but the problem is:

When I choose the directed recover option, there is no display of the virtual
client, only the physical.

I`ve edited the server.res, without any helpfull results.

Olaf

Olaf,

You need to add the physical nodes to the remote access field of the virtual
client. Then when you start NetWorker User, click on "Operation" in the menu
bar, and select "Directed Recover". Choose the virtual client.

I think this is documented in the Administrator's Guide.

Hi all,

We are using Legato`s Cluster client for our NT Cluster.

Configuration short sample:

Win2K Server IP: 111112 Saving C: and D:
Virtual Client IP:111122 Saving G: (the virtuell part)

Win2K Server2: IP: 111113 Saving C: and D:
Virtual Client IP:111123 Saving H: (the virtuell part)

Every part is in the hosts. The Backup works fine. Full Backup and incr. Backup

Today I want to make a Test Recover, but I can only recover the real Parts of
both Servers (C:/D:) Networker doesn`t show me, the daily Backups of the
virtuell clients.

Has anybody an idea?

Thanks
Olaf
