[Networker] OS upgrade
2002-11-15 13:22:10
Hi List,
We are planning an OS upgrade for our Networker server.
CURRENT
E250 Solaris 2.6
Solstice Backup / Networker 6.1.2
UPGRADE
E250 Solaris 8
Solstice Backup / Networker 6.1.2
The upgrade will be performed by installing additional disks in the E250
then booting Solaris 8 from the new disks. If a problem is encountered, the
backout is to simply reboot 2.6 from the old disks. When Networker is
installed, the plan is to just point networker at the original /nsr
directory which contains all the license info and media database and client
indexes. Does anyone see a problem with the plan? Is it wiser to just do an
mmrecov?
Thanks,
Vic Engle
