Unfortunatly, there seems to be a bug in mminfo, so the volretent
parameter cannot be used for your purpose. Should it have worked (that
is - I haven't seen it working yet) an easier query would be
# mminfo -a -q'pool=clonepool,volretent<11 months' -r volume
As I'm saying, nice query, but doesn't work. Has anyone the same
experience or better still, a Legato case number for this?

Hello list ,
Currently we perform a full backup of some clients each month.
The retention policy is one year. We also clone those savesets. Of
course these clones have the same retention period.
Now company policy has changed a bit.
Only the clones of the last full backup have to be preserved.
I think I'm able to pull this off , using following method :
-# mminfo -a -q 'savetime<one month' -q 'pool=clonepool' -r volume -#
mminfo -a -q 'savetime>one month' -q 'pool=clonepool' -r volume
-Compare those two outputs so I just have the volumes where ALL savesets
are older then one month.
-check with mminfo which ssid's are located on previous found volumes.
-Search on wich volumes the originals are located ( same ssid's , other
pool )
-Set those volumes to manual mode using 'nsrmm -o manual -y VOLNAME'
-set volumes of the clones to recyclable ' nsrmm -o recyclable -y
VOLNAME'
-set originals back to auto with 'nsrmm -o notmanual -y VOLNAME'
First of all : is this method correct ? Am I missing something here ?
Second : can I automate this ? , I'm talking about +200 tapes and maybe
+500 savesets , I don't want to do this manual :( Maybe somebody has a
script , I don't want to re-invent the weel.
Any other suggestions , how-to's , ... are more then welcome
