Hi Friends,

Thanks a lott for all the suggestions, now I have overcome 1 issue but its still
 giving me following error.
After running mmrecov it gives me following messages,

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

# mmrecov
mmrecov: Using abc.com as server

NOTICE: mmrecov is used to recover the NetWorker server's on-line file and
media indexes from media (backup tapes or disks) when either of the server's
on-line file or media index has been lost or damaged. Note that this command
will OVERWRITE the server's existing on-line file and media indexes.
mmrecov is not used to recover NetWorker clients' on-line indexes; normal
recover procedures may be used for this purpose. See the mmrecov(1m) and
nsr_crash(1m) man pages for more details.

WARNING: The on-line index for `abc.com' was NOT fully recovered.
There may have been a media error. You can retry the recover, or attempt
to recover another version of the index.

The bootstrap entry in the on-line index for abc.com has been recovered.
The complete index is now being reconstructed from the various partial
indexes which were saved during the normal save for this server.

If your resource files were lost, they are now recovered in the 'res.R'
directory. Copy or move them to the 'res' directory, after you have shut
down the service. Then restart the service.

Otherwise, just restart the service.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have tried different versions of bootstrap information but its giving the same
error again and again. I have tried running
nwrecover but it says

nwrecover: Cannot start session with server abc.com: file index is missing.
Please contact your system administrator to recover or recreate the index.

I have tried recover command also but it gives the same error mentioned above.

Please help me out if you have any clue.

Thanks & Regards
Deepak

Subject: Disaster Recovery

Hi,

I am trying to build a server from bootstrap information of one of my Legato
Server 5.5.1. After installing the OS, Legato Server I am trying to
recover the index of my server using

mmrecov,

it reads the tape and recovers /nsr/res and than it shows the index information
      also like

/nsr/index/server name

but after this it says
nsrindexasm: can't open index for server: No such file or directory

Guys Please help me out, if you have any documentation or any idea about it.

Thanks

Deepak
