Apologies for the initial post without checking all variables - worked
out the problem, it was due to the clients having network cards set to
Autonegotiate as opposed to set to the correct 100/full
Once changed the problem disappeared.

New implementation of Legator 6.1.1 onto a W2k Platform with a Jukebox
connected over fibre , via a switch with storage nodes. 
 
Generally working very well. Some problems with a couple of W2K clients
in that they continuously fail to backup when I run the backup as part
of the scheduled overnight backup. The error is as below
 
* toon2.staff.vuw.ac.nz:S:\ save: RPC error: Unable to send
* toon2.staff.vuw.ac.nz:S:\ save: RPC error: Unable to send
 
When I run the backup against that client during the day stand alone I
get no problems
 
The error manual recommends stopping and starting the server service.
