Hi Kamran,

for question 2 it's how Exchange internals manage the restore process.
For question 1 check more in deep Application logs, exchange log and so
on, probably tcp/ip reset is a consequence of an application error.

Dear All

I want to share the experience of those who have successfully restored
mailbox restore using tdp for exchange 2010.
I am facing the issue while restoring single mailbox using TDP for
exchange 2010 as PST file in local drive.

i have verified all requirement like
TDP v 6.1.3
TSM BAclient v 6.2.2
Rollup v 3
MS Exchange MAPI client and Collaboration Data object as per required
version restoring using user who is member of organization managment
role mailbox restoring is configured with (Send as) and (FUll access )
permission

and when i run the tdp restore command, i get the following output

So my question are

1- why its giving API error and unable to restore mailbox even i am
following all prerequisites
2- my mailbox file is 400MB which i am trying to restore then why its
taking more than four hours and even then failed. i know its create
recovery database group for entire Database which contain this mailbox ,
but my question is that why its restoring entire Database in recovery
database group. is there any way around to reduce that time as other
backup software takes less time to restore single mailbox.

I would be very thankful to all member if they can share some experience
regarding this issues
