There's no Fix=Yes on the Audit Library command: I think you mean you ran an
Audit Volume.
Audit Volume does not "fix" data integrity problems: it deletes files...which
is drastic for primary storage pool volumes. If a primary pool tape, first try
Move Data on it, using varying tape drives: the original tape drive or data
connection to it may have had problems when the tape was written. Whereas the
tape labels are intact on the tape, I don't expect this to be the case of a
shared library with another application overwriting TSM tapes. If you can't
make headway on the tape, go on to Restore Volume, to recover from copy pool
content.
I would research back in the Activity Logs for when the tape was being written
to see if there were issues back then. You may be able to determine if the
problem tapes were written by one certain drive back then, in which case a
bunch of tapes may have this problem. Tape drive firmware levels can also be
involved in some data integrity problems. There are also some TSM APARs
addressing this problem. Note that your server is downlevel on available
maintenance, which can contribute to problems.
See Technote 1259460 for perspective on this problem.
