Hi Steve!
Nothing. I have a show logpinned command scheduled at regular intervals
and I only see a SQL client pop up every now and then and that's because
you cannot specify a backup file size in the SQL client.
If you see a Oracle client pinning your log, they probably haven't
specified a backup piece size (I believe it's called MAXPIECESIZE if I
remember correctly) in RMAN.
Kind regards,

What's pinning your log? Do a show logpinned, and then look at what
that client is doing. If it is a TDP, they are known for pinning the
log and causing these kinds of issues.

We see this issue also, and it is nearly always caused by an Oracle TDP
or an Exchange TDP backup.

Thanks,
Steve
