We have been using TSM to backup laptops and workstations for years, and
currently backup around 2-3000 of them. Encryption may or may not be a problem
depending on what you are using and how you are using it. Full-disk encryption
(FDE) can work well with TSM, for example. Encryption containers can be
problematic.
