Hi,

I've tested it with TSM 6.2 and vSphere 4.0. When doing file-backups of the VM 
the vStorage API is used, when doing a FULLVM backup then still VCB is used.
You do not have the need for a client to be installed in the various VM's, just 
a proxy node.

Presently we are not doing any image based backups of VMs. We own both Backup 
Exec and TSM and want to determine which of these tools would be best suited 
for VM image backup, and if not either of these, what tool would be. I have 
used the Networker/VCB integration in the past and was happy with that, but if 
VCB is not going to be around for much longer I see no point in exploring that 
solution.
