I believe can also view Archived/Retrieve files using the Web Client
GUI correct? I tried giving the user authority however the command
doesn't work?
grant authority sammy class=node authority=owner node=XXXXX
ANR2125I GRANT AUTHORITY: Administrator sammy was granted OWNER
authority for client XXXXX
We are still getting the following message
ANS1370E: The user ID entered does not have the correct level of
authority to access the client machine.

Just some basic advice:
When you want to check on what a Restore will return, use dsmc query backup;
likewise, for a Retrieve, use dsmc query archive. Inspecting the inventory
helps a lot in showing what's out there. That can also aid in checking
permission authority, where it is not possible to access what you don't own, or
when you're not the superuser.
Richard who knows nothing about NetWare (except that it's been around
too long ;-)
