" it runs like a spotted ape!". I'm not familiar with that saying. Is that a
good thing or a bad thing?

Subject: Re: [ADSM-L] TSM 6.2 question
Yes, I have TSM 6.2.1 installed on a few SLES10SP3 and SLES11 (no sp) IBM
systems.
At the moment I am having a strange problem with it at one customer site where
DRM is not working with wildcards anymore (I just created a ticket at IBM
support for this 30 minutes ago) but for the rest it installs and operates fine.
We are using dedupe at one site and are getting to a 53% reduction in data
stored (wow!) on disk due to this (server side dedupe with reclaim set to 20%
on the filepool).
It eats 16GB of memory like it is nothing and still takes up 1-2GB of swap
space, 56% of the memory is allocated to the db2 process.
This one client has about 100-120 clients with around 10 TDP's and a lot less
than 70TB but (aside from this one DRM issue) it runs like a spotted ape!
But if you ask me..if you are able to..go for a POWER/AIX solution rather than
Linux on Intel.
