I had this happen when I attempted to use a lin_tape version that was built on
a

different kernel. Did you rpmbuild --rebuild the src lin_tape?

Does anyone have experience with configuring a Spectra Logic T950 tape library

with LTO5 drive on RedHat Linux (64 bit)? We have tried the IBM drivers and
the

tape drives become visible and communicate at the OS level and can be
configured

into TSM (6.2), but we are unable to label any tapes. The tape gets loaded
into

the drive, but the process does not do anything after that and produces no

errors.
