Like Stefan states: Windows 2008 is not supported. DP for SQL 5.5.x.x
supports the 6.1.x.x API client, but not the Windows 2008 OS.

Why not?  We have 6.x clients backing up MS-SQL with 5.5.3 TDP?

Why would you expect IBM to update the 5.5 client to support W2K8 when
6.x
already does?

when will tsm for database (ms sql)  6.1 be released?

or when will be tsm 5.5 baclient support for windows 2008 r2?

os is windows 2008 r2 (x64),
sql server 2008

tsm client 5.5 is now not supported for 2008 r2
and i do not want to install tsm 6.1.3 baclient and tsm 5.5.3 for
database
together.
