[ADSM-L] Netware to linux migration
2010-01-28 12:38:17
Hi,
I am using TSM Version 5, Release 4, Level 4.0 and the client nodes are being
migrated from Netware6.5SP7 to OES2 LinuxSP2 (SLESSP3). I'm wanting to confirm
that the settings in the dsm.opt can be used on the new platform?
The settings in dsm.opt (netware) should be copied to dsm.sys (linux)? Will I
need to use the dsm.opt (linux) at all?
DSM.opt on netware server:
***********************************
nodename servername
tcpclientaddress 10.20.155.20
tcpserveraddress 10.20.180.30
tcpclientport 1500
tcpp 1500
tcpbuffsize 32
tcpwindowsize 63
schedmode prompted
subdir yes
* Comression set to yes for Wan Clients
compression yes
exclude.fs nds:
exclude SYS:VOL$LOG.ERR
exclude SYS:_swap_.mem
passwordaccess generate
nwpwfile yes
nwuser .cn=tsmbackup.ou=eu.o=company:password
*domain all-local -nds
domain data:
errorlogretention 10 D
schedlogretention 10 D
revokeremoteaccess access
managedservices schedule webclient
***********************************
I've also read to backup the trustees and NSS metadata I need to enable the
xattr extensions with a switch in the /opt/novell/nss/conf/nssstart.cfg file
with the addition of the following lines:
nss /ListXattrNWMetadata
nss /ctimeIsMetadataModtime
Any help is much appreciated!
Thanks
