Hi Everyone,

I was scanning the TSM v6.1 Technical Guide Redbook the other day.
In the section about estimating the Active Log size, it discusses making
an estimate of 3x of what you _use_ from your v5 TSM server log.

To get this info, they show running a "show logv" cmd just prior to your
full db backups and getting the HeadLsh field, Then, subtract the first
part
of the HeadLsh field from 24hr apart to get the log MB used over 24hr.

Q) Any idea if getting the log MB used via Show Logv and the HeadLsh
field the _same_ as what TSM gives from the log consumption info
from a "q log f=d"?

Thanks

Rick
