I don't know that 32-bit and 64-bit databases would be compatible, so

they are, as long as your on the same platform. So you don't need to
export/import anything, the 64bit server could even use the same
database files as the 32 bit serve, so even an in-place upgrade of
just copying the files over would work.

you'd have to export the data from one server to another. It sounds
like
you're going to be using the same server, so what you could do is
upgrade the OS to 64-bit, but keep running 32-bit TSM. Then install
64-bit TSM alongside the 32-bit TSM but running on a separate port,
and
export the data from the 32-bit install to the 64-bit install. Once
you're done you can shut off and delete the 32-bit install.

Dear all,

I'm thinking about changing an existing TSM Server Win 2k3 Std
Edition R2
SP2 32 bit , with Win 2k3 Ent Edition 32 or 64 bit because of memory
(RAM)
limitation & another additional consideration.
What consideration should i take before do this?
Can i simply restore a database backup TSM (32 bit Win Server) to
64 bit
Win Server ?
