Or more costly.  We have test VM servers with quad-core processors running
15-VM guests.   If I started counting by T-Bytes backed-up, it would cost
a lot more than 4-CPU's!

Haven't heard that.
My first thought is that it would make licensing
a LOT easier to figure out!
