I followed your suggestion 2. When I now issue a delete filespace I
receive a different error:

This one is APAR-ed: IC51268 which should be solved by running a special
utility called the Repair Orphans Utility.
I will open a PMR and hope IBM will deliver the utility although my
server is out of support...

Well, you still have two (traditional) options:

1) dsmserv AUDITDB fix=yes

2) Try to expire the filespace from the client. Set up an empty
directory
   as a filespace with the same name as the filespace to be deleted,
   either with virtualmountpoint (UNIX), SUBST (Win) or union mount
   (Linux/BSD) and then run dsmc i.
