You don't necessarily need to create another TSM Scheduler service for the
TDP SQL backups. Just use the same nodename and scheduler service for the
regular B/A client incremental backups. You would just have 2 schedules to
the same node. Make them for different times. This also guarantees that they
won't run together.

Tiago,

To schedule backups of the SQL databases, you will need to do the
followings
* In TSM define 2 "COMMAND" schedules; one to perform the DIFF or INCR
TDP backup (daily will work) and the other to perform the FULL backup
(weekly will work). Here is an example of how your FULL schedule will
look like "define sched TDPDOMAIN TDPSCHEDULEFULL action=command
object='"LOCATION_OF_TDP_DIRECTORY\TDPFULL.CMD"' ....watch the single
and double-quotes in the schedule definition.

* Define a new TSM Central Scheduler Service for the TDP node.

As Del noted, refer to the TDP for SQL guide at this link:
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/tivihelp/v1r1/index.jsp?topic=/
com.ibm.itsmfd.doc/dpsql.htm

In the left frame, bring up the PDF and refer to Chapter3 for in-depth
details on the configuration.

Good luck.

Hello,

I'm new to TSM Data Protection for Databases.

I configured the TSM DP for SQL and I'm able to perform manual backups
for my SQL DB.

How can I Scheduler a Backup to a SQL Database (like TSM Scheduler in a
TSM BA Client) to perform daily backups?
