It seems its taking longer for our drives to mount/dismount tapes.


We just migrated our (5 instance in one LPAR TSM env) on AIX 5.3.TL9
from a p590 to a p560. We kept the same OS.

We are attached via fiber channel to a 3494 (yes we zoned correctly one zone 
for tape drives and one for disk-DS8000).

I don't remember what the rule of thumb is for the HBA/TAPEDRIVE RATIO. The AIX 
sysadmin said we each tape drive was dual pathed from the 3494 to the switch 
and p560.

Any ideas on how to troubleshoot as this sounds like a SAN/HBA/ZONE problem 
rather than a TSM problem?
