You will not need the DB backup for backup sets.

Any reason for doing this? Tape will not be useable without
corresponding DB back-up tape.

Subject: TDP Exc Backup full to empty tape

Hi list,

I need to perform a full backup from a MS Exchange Server using TDP for
Exchange. However, I need to do it on a empty tape, outside the regular
scheduled backup operations.

Can I do this from the command line? Is there any parameter that I can
use to specify that the data from this particular operation should be
written on a empty tape? I have to send this tape away, with only this
data on it.

I am running TSM Server 5.4, TDP for Exchange 5.3.3 and I have an
automated library.

Thanks in advance.

Mario
