Hello,
ATape is a device driver. Device Driver belongs to hardware, in this case
to IBM Tape Storage. Therefore Atape is supported by the IBM Tape Storage
Hardware Group, pls open a Hardware ticket.

However, only if you use IBM Tape and tape libraries, if not, then you use
the IBM Atape illegal ....

As a long-time IBM customer -- I've got to agree with you.

OK, I got the wrong group; just tell me that, and forward the problem to
the right group, OK?

Tom

We are going thru the same nightmare with the IBMtape driver ( Atape for
Solaris ).
IBM/TIVOLI is not helping their customers with that driver .

IBMtape is downloaded from IBM website , they should accept to work on
the issue . Now the fact they
Support this by their internal HW or SW is not my business . This should
be transparent for their customers !!
Next step is to ask to call "xyz" because he wrote the code ... And by
the way he left IBM ... ?? Just nonsense

Exactly what I had happen. After having our contracts guy go around
with
IBM, I finally got someone to tell us we should open a hardware call on
the
library to get atape help.
