Hi Caye,
The cartridges that remain in IMPORT status, i.e. those not processed by the
CHECKIN, are located in both frames.
They have been assigned to the TSM library successfully and in the Element
Address column, have an element number and a status of Import
Not sure why insert notification is used. Normally, we simply insert tapes into
the I/O station and when they are read into the library, they are assigned to
the appropriate library. Having loaded in excess of 100 tapes, it happily
processed the first 36 via Checkin, then the 'library full' messages started.
Richard has suggested a known apar for this, so i am researching this at the
moment.

When you look the cartridge list, where are the faulty cartridges ?
Are they assigned to a library or not ? If not, what is there status (column
logical library) ?
In what range of slot number ?
Can I ask you the reason why insert notification is enabled ? Is there a
special reason ?
