I've used it.  I don't find the setup interface to be all that intuitive,
but it works.

The reason to use it is to get ALL changes to files, presumably on a
desktop/laptop.
e.g., you want your WORD document backed up every time you save changes to
it.

The initial backup actually occurs to a local directory.  You can also do
daily backups of changed files, and you can have the backups then forwarded
on to a TSM server.

You could have office documents  (.doc, .xls, .ppt, etc.) under continuous
protection, once-daily backups running on everything else, and forwarding to
a TSM server occurring only when you are on a network.

It can be helpful.
