Hi,
I'm using MS WinServ2003 SP2 with HP LTO Gen3 400/800 GB SCSI Tape
Drive Ultrium-TD3 (cartridges 400/800 GB), firmware 69u2. Can't
backup more than 500 GB - when 501 limits is reached there is the
message - tape is full.
Tape drive was replaced by new one. Hardware comperssion is active.
Any suggestion is welcome,

Presumably, you are at a TSM server level which supports LTO3, and
have a Devclass specification of FORMAT=ULTRIUM3C. With that, 500 GB
is certainly reasonable: the less compressible the data, the less
virtual capacity you can expect to get. You can benchmark by using a
utility like tapeutil or ntutil with varying types of data, to see
what you can ultimately get.
