Best to test untried hardware in isolation before putting it under
application control. Use the tapeutil command for that purpose, on
your drive types, while they are offline to TSM. Thereafter you can
let TSM have at it, where you would check to see that all is well.
To force TSM to more quickly use a given drive, mark surrounding,
unused drives offline for the moment.
