Hi Andrew,

Thanks...I took a look at Technote IBM Technote 1234244 and APAR IC44846. I think
IBM Technote 1234244 may be the problem because why would this happen
all of a sudden the backup was working up until 10/4/07. Though because of that even looking at Technote 1234244 I am skeptical. The other Windows clients backup are running fine. The Scheduler service has since been uninstalled/reinstalled using the GUI by someone. I wonder if I use the dsmcutil to remove both the CAD and Scheduler and re-install
the Scheduler using the GUI then doing the following

Dsmcutil update cad /name:”TSM Client Acceptor” /cadschedname:”TSM Client Scheduler”

will help? I don't believe that was done I think it was just removed using the GUI, I
will have to check.

F.Y.I - the following line has been in the dsm.opt file since the node started
backing up in 2005. MANAGEDSERVICES WEBCLIENT SCHEDULE

These error message are in the dsmerror.log but I don't see anything
that would cause the
service not to start.
