I would not be interested in running multiple instances on the server.
The context is SiteB is a DR instance, just standby. Since the DB normally
does not contain data, it is not backed up. Once put into use, it contains
the data from its use as a DR box.
I suppose it would not be too time consuming to reinstall, but was wondering
if someone has a method of generating a new database on an existing server.

Windows or Unix?

Windows is easy...just use the TSM Management Console application, Right
click on your computername under the Tivoli Storage Manager
and select Add a new TSM Server... Very wizard based to create another
instance.

For the Unix's, there's a section in the Admin Guide for "Running multiple
servers on a single machine".

Subsequently it was restored to SiteA.

Question: is there a method to generate a new TSM database instance

without removing and reinstalling TSM at SiteB?
