I can speak, at least in part, to some of your issues.

1a. For the scheduled event problem, TSM creates two relevant logs:
dsmsched.log and dsmerror.log. Whenever you encounter problems, those
should be the first places to look. I suspect the dsmerror.log will
indicate a problem with the file system specification, e.g., 'C' vs. 'C:'.
TSM requires the ending ':' when specifying Windows or NetWare file system
names.

1b. Also, I see you a have BACKUP IMAGE operation scheduled with the
DAILY_INCR schedule. While technically valid, I suggest scheduling image
backup with a schedule name that is more in line with the type of
operation, e.g., DAILY_IMAGE, etc.. :-)

2. Regarding the LAN-free question, I would offer an answer if I could,
but more information is needed. General recommendation: When asking
questions on the list server, I cannot stress enough the importance of
providing detailed background to the problem, including (but not
necessarily limited to) specific symptoms of the problem, such as example
output that illustrates the problem in context; what you are seeing versus
what you expect to see; corresponding entries in dsmerror.log, etc;
configuration information such as dsm.opt, client option set; related
server and storage agent setup, etc.

3. Unfortunately for the tape issue, I do not have the expertise to speak
to that. Maybe someone else would know; and refer to suggestions made
above re: info about your tape environment; one thing to check is whether
the device class mount limit is set to a value higher than 1.

Andy
