Just do a DEL VOL <copypoolvolume> DISCARD=YES

And the next time BA STG runs the files that were on that damanged tape
will be re-copied to new copypool media.

When I try to mark the volume as destroyed...

update volume lu0141 access=destroyed

...I get the following messages...

ANR2116E UPDATE VOLUME: Access mode for volume LU0141 cannot be changed
to "destroyed" - volume does not belong to a primary storage pool.
ANR2212I UPDATE VOLUME: No volumes updated.

Mark the volume destroyed then run a backup stg. This will replace the
files that no longer exist in the copy pool.

How do I restore damaged files on a Copy Storage Pool volume?

"restore volume" works from Copy to Primary only - How can I do this the
other way?

Many Thanks,
