Just run the following command after doing a checkin or label libvolume
command:

"Q REQUEST"

This will show any pending requests and their ids. Then do the
following command:

"REPLY XXX" where XXX is the request ID.

Subject: [ADSM-L] CDL: Cannot seem to checkin virtual tapes, please
help!

Hello everyone,

I have a new EMC CDL 4400. I am emulating an IBM 3584 with LTO2 tape
drives. I have defined the following to TSM:

Define cdl library: define library cdlb_dev libtype=scsi shared=no
Define path to the cdl library: define path tsmdev cdlb_dev
srctype=server
desttype=library device=/dev/smc0
Define tape drives: define drive cdlb_dev lto2-28 (I have defined drive
28
- 67)
Define tape paths for drives lto2-28 - lto2-67: define path tsmdev
lto2-28
srctype=server desttype=drive library=cdlb_dev device=/dev/rmt28
Define device class for library: define devclass lto2_cdlb
library=cdlb_dev devtype=lto format=ultrium2 mountlimit=drives

I then tried to label a tape in the cdlb_dev library with: label libvol
cdlb_dev db0000 checkin=scratch and I am seeing the following in the
activity log:

Date/Time             Message

                       253882, PROCESS: 820)

It looks like it is waiting for a reply, but why would I have to do this
myself? Shouldn't this be done automatically through the library? I am
not familiar with IBM libraries so I think I'm at a loss here. If
anyone
has any suggestions/comments please let me know. Thanks!
