Hi. <newbie warning="continued"> Richard Sims wrote:

wherein it says:
SELECT SUM(CASE when q.POOLTYPE = 'PRIMARY' then o.NUM_FILES else -
-o.NUM_FILES end) as Net_Files from OCCUPANCY o, STGPOOLS q -
where o.STGPOOL_NAME = q.STGPOOL_NAME and q.POOLTYPE in('PRIMARY','COPY')
If the result is non-zero, they aren't up to date. You can create
variations on this theme to check one pool pair at a time, if that is
more appropriate for you.
In our case that SELECT returns 587 :-( And query actlog reveals:
2007-03-28 08:15:16 ANR1229W Volume LLM595L3 cannot be backed up -
the volume is offline, in use by another process, not currently
mountable, or access mode is "unavailable" or "destroyed".
and SELECT * from VOLUMES reveals:
VOLUME_NAME: LLM595L3
STGPOOL_NAME: AUTOLTO_POOL
DEVCLASS_NAME: AUTOLTO_CLASS
EST_CAPACITY_MB: 800000.0
PCT_UTILIZED: 28.6
STATUS: FILLING
ACCESS: UNAVAILABLE <=====
PCT_RECLAIM: 48.6
SCRATCH: YES
ERROR_STATE: NO
NUM_SIDES: 1
TIMES_MOUNTED: 17
WRITE_PASS: 1
LAST_WRITE_DATE: 2007-03-27 06:56:09.000000
LAST_READ_DATE: 2007-03-27 13:08:25.000000
WRITE_ERRORS: 1
READ_ERRORS: 1
MVSLF_CAPABLE: No
CHG_TIME: 2007-03-26 13:38:58.000000
CHG_ADMIN: ADMIN
What's the next step ?
There's also a volume LLM574L3 with ERROR_STATE: YES Is that serious ?
Thanks for your patience, Regards, Peter
